Jul 01, 2026
Arab football continues to make headlines at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. This time, it's Jordanian referee Adham Makhadmeh and a Middle Eastern support crew from the AFC federation who are in the spotlight. The official will be the man in the middle when England takes on DR Congo in a Round of 32 clash in Atlanta, Georgia. The all-grab team around him will be assistant referees Mohammed Khalaf and Ahmad Al-Roalle, who are also from Jordan. Saudi Arabian Khalid Al-Turais is the fourth official, as reserve assistant referee Mohammed AlBakri rounds out the crew.
