Egypt Secures Six Medals at World Calisthenics Championship
Egypt claimed six medals from nine athletes at the 2026 World Calisthenics Championships in Riga, including two golds.
Egypt made a strong showing at the 2026 World Calisthenics and Street Workout Championships in Riga, Latvia, with six of its nine athletes finishing on the podium.
The team returned with two gold, three silver and one bronze medal. Ahmed Zaki won gold in Veterans’ Endurance, while Ashraf Adel took the Middleweight Strength title.
Ahmed Essam, Mohamed Khaled and Mostafa El Iraqi earned silver medals in Veterans’ Freestyle, Middleweight Endurance and Lightweight Endurance respectively, while Mostafa Maher claimed bronze in Lightweight Strength.
With six medals from nine competitors, Egyptian federation president Islam Qurtam described the result as the country’s biggest achievement in the sport to date.
