Saudi Arabia has been named the first-ever recipient of Formula E’s Best Host Country award, recognising the Kingdom’s contribution to delivering the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.

The award, presented at the 2025/26 Formula E End of Season Awards in London, highlights Saudi Arabia’s event delivery, infrastructure and partnership with the championship since it first hosted Formula E in 2018.

The Kingdom’s move from Diriyah to Jeddah in 2025 also brought a record-breaking weekend, with the inaugural Jeddah E-Prix becoming Formula E’s most-watched race weekend, attracting 65 million cumulative global viewers.

As of now, Saudi Arabia is set to host the 2026/27 season-opening double-header on December 18th to 19th, 2026, which would also mark the competitive debut of Formula E’s new GEN4 race car.
